Burger King closing down?

Yesterday I decided that I wanted to have a burger for a change so on my way home I took a different route to include Burger King in it. I did not go out of my way too much thank goodness, it was more of a detour.

On my way driving there I was thinking of what I wanted to eat, "What shall I get today?" I asked myself. I felt like a burger, so chicken was out! It only took me a second to come up with having a 'Bacon Double Cheeseburger Combo'. Yummy! The thought of the open grilled, smoked bacon aroma and taste started to get my saliva glans working up a storm.

I pulled into the drive through at Burger King on Prince Charles Drive and told myself that the answer to my cravings would soon be in my stomach. I stopped a little away from the order board because there was a truck in front of me. He moved forward so I was now able to place my order I have been fantasying drooling thoughts about.

"Welcome to Burger King, may I take your order" came the voice over the speaker. "Yes" I replied. "I would like a number 6" (I believe that's the number the Bacon Double Cheeseburger is listed under, at least at this location).

The voice came back, "I'm sorry. We do not have any burgers at this time."
Stunned, and quite upset I replied "WHAT?! What did you say? You don't have any burgers? This is Burger KING right? You don't have any burgers? Is that right?"

Only silence was heard.

I spoke up "Hello. Hello. HELLO! Are you there?!"
"Yes sir" replied the lady behind Burger King's shame.
"Is that right?" I asked again
"Yes sir. We do not have any burgers at this time."
"What time will you have burgers?" I questioned further
"I don't know" she replied, "I just don't know"
I then concluded may conversation with a "Thank you", leaned back in my chair, put up the window and thought "Now how the hell am I going to get out of this line?"

Luckily I was ideally located near the road so I just had to drive over the sidewalk and into the road and I was on my way after that.

Now let me ask you this, What kind of Burger King runs out of burgers? Isn't it the 'Home of the Whopper'? Isn't the Whopper a burger? How can they call themselves 'Burger King' which is like saying that they are the King of Burgers? But where's the beef? There's no burgers here!

But you know what? This is very reminiscent to the time I went to KFC at Saunders Beach and they had No Chicken!

LOL! The same thing happened to me at KFC. I drove in and they told me it would be another 20 minutes wait for my chicken!

What a big downer. Never went to a KFC after that.
